DISTINGUISHED SERVICE CROSS October - 2005 WB 1Lt Red Baron distinguished himself during the Battles over the channel between the Warbirds and the Sky Tanks.  An exceptional pilot, Lieutenant Red Baron's contributions were vital to mission integrity during the battles that ensued. These battles took place between Hawkinge and Calais in inclement weather while flying virtual panel view only. On 22, October Red Baron, flying his Hawker Hurricane flew excellent cover for his wingman against the Bf-109e. Red Baron then scrambled his Bf-109e against the Hawker and is credited with one enemy fighter shot down. Again on 29, October Red Baron is credited with two kills of enemy aircraft after taking to the skies in his Super Marine Spitfire MkI. After the Warbirds departed Calais in the Bf-109g Red Baron downed one more enemy fighter. The Lieutenants contributions of outstanding air combat ability were of utmost importance to the ability of the WB to win this fight against the Sky Tanks.  For his extraordinary display of combat ability in a group flight, I hereby award WB_1Lt_R_Baron2 the Distinguished Service Cross.

DISTINGUISHED SERVICE CROSS August - 2005 WB 1Lt Red Baron distinguished himself during the Battle of Britain combat operations against the Jagdgeschwader1.  An exceptional pilot, Lieutenant Red Baron's contributions were vital to mission integrity during the defense of England and attack on German bases on the coast of France.  In mid July Red Baron and his Lancaster bomber crew were credited with shooting down two enemy fighter aircraft during the Allied attack. Upon completion of his bomb run the Lieutenant, ever ready, scrambled into his fighter aircraft and was credited with supporting his wingman against enemy aircraft while defending Britain from the Germans attack. The following week Red Baron was credited with six more kills of enemy aircraft. During the last week of the month the Lieutenant had added one more confirmed enemy aircraft shot down by his bomber crew on his successful bomb run on Etaples and one enemy shot down in the defense of England. The Lieutenants contributions in outstanding air combat ability were of utmost importance to the ability of the Allies to push the Jagdgeschwader1 back away from the coast.  For his extraordinary display of combat ability in a group flight, I hereby award WB_1Lt_R_Baron2 the Distinguished Service Cross.
