These are missions written by Warbirds members. Most are for rank requirement flights. Some are for practice sessions and some are just for fun. Feel free to download and use them. They are catogorized as Dog Fight or Cooperative missions and will need to be installed as such. Happy hunting and enjoy the missions.

Dog Fight

Extract the following to C:\Program Files\Ubisoft\IL-2 Sturmovik 1946\Missions\Net\dogfight\Warbirds. You will need to create a folder called Warbirds inside your dogfight folder.

WB LtC Carrier Operations. This is a Lt Colonel carrier mission that will keep you busy for a while. Set the game up as stated in the text file and see if you can complete the flight. This is a rank requirement for Lieutenant Colonel. Written by WB_LtC_FlashOver

WB Captain Carrier Operations This is a Captain carrier mission. Land four times in succession on the U.S.S. Lexington anchored outside of Pearl Harbor. Weather is nasty and it is night. Written by WB_LtC_FlashOver

Deadmans Backwater This mission is for 2Lt, 1Lt, and Captain flight requirements and will test your ability to control your aircraft at slow speeds while maneuvering around objects and in tight places. Written by WB_Maj_RocketJ

WB 1Lt NAV 2B This mission is NAV Flight requirement for 1Lt. You will need to know how to read a map locate your possition on that map. Set the difficulty up as stated in the text file. Written by WB_LtC_FlashOver

Cooperative

Extract these files to C:\Program Files\Ubisoft\IL-2 Sturmovik 1946\Missions\Net\coop\Warbirds. You will need to create a new folder inside your coop folder called Warbirds.

1Lt NAV Flight 2A This is a 1Lt Navigation night mission in the B-25. Read the directions carefully and watch yourself. Good luck. Written by WB_Col_Stryker

2Lt P-51 Carrier Landing Here is another mission that will keep you on your toes. This flight is a 2Lt  and 1Lt requirement. This will take some practice and will cost the Commander some grey hair due to all the lost aircraft. Written by WB_Maj_RocketJ

Attack on Iwo Jima This is a 4 mission pack with eight players per mission. 4 F6F's vs. 4 A6M5's. Allied are carrier bourne. Very fun missions. Written by WB_LtC_FlashOver

Buta Blast Imperial Japan has established an oil refinery, aircraft repair facility, and troop processing & deployment center. The U.S. will be targeting these new implacements on this very wet and cold day. This nice mission is written by WB_Lt_Chekdar.

P-51's vs. Ju52's/Bf-109's This mission was written with MOD turned on. If you do not have MODS installed you can still fly the P-51's and Bf-109's. Great mission with nasty weather. Written by WB_LtC_FlashOver

B-25 Submarine attack. This is a mission written by WB_XO_Air. It was written as a flight requirement. The mission objectives are to destroy the enemy Spec-Ops submarine and make for home. Written by WB_XO_Air

B-29 Night Bomber The mission was built with MODS' turned on. It's primary mission is the B-29's and will not work so well without the MOD package.

Northern Meltdown The European Axis Alliance has built an ordnance factory near Kirkenes. B-17's, A-20's, P-51's and Spitfires.Fw-190's & Bf-109's will be defending. This mission was built with MODs turned on but you will be able to fly all aircraft except the B-17 if you have a stock game. This is a low level (under the thunder clouds) mission with lots of turbulance. Written by WB_Lt_Chekdar

PBY Attack/Rescue This mission requires the MOD package. This is a busy mission with the opertunity to fly the PBY Nomad and the TBM3 Avenger. PBY's will be doing a bomb run and then turn for a Recon pass on their way to Rescue the crews from two downed Beaufighters. The Avengers are tasked with destroying the Beaufighters immediately upon completion of the rescue. Written by WB_LtC_FlashOver

Attack on Riga This is a long mission but you will be busy fighting off enemy aircraft en-route to target. B-25's attack parked aircraft. A-20's attack ships in river. YP-80's and Spitfires will fly cover. Fw-190's and Bf-109's will be flying patrol over their boarders. Weather is hazy with a low cloud cover. Written by WB_LtC_FlashOver
